Mark R. Sochor is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia, research faculty in the Emergency Medicine Research Office, and medical director of the UVA Center for Applied Biomechanics. He earned an MS and MD from Wayne State University, completed emergency medicine residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital, and was an injury research fellow at the University of Michigan CIREN Center. His research interests include blunt force trauma, motor vehicle crashes, postmortem and forensic radiology, and injury taxonomy.
